Creepers
Constructed from cut plastic paper, these small sculptures are part of a limited edition of works priced at $100. each. Thinking about weeds that often sustain themselves, Creepers are symbolic of undesirable and troublesome plant life. Inspired by the plastic and silk plants my family had around their homes when I was growing up, these urban vines simulate an organic and geometric design. Menacing, but elegant and graceful, these urban dwellers appear as if they move about at their own leisure. A new opposition in my narrative, the Creeper is a threat to the characters already competing to construct the landscape.
