The hexacharm embraces various ideas. Initially, I thought of plastic bags that blow in the air and are permanently caught in the branches of trees. It was those plastic bags that always made me think of them as ghosts living among the arbors. This hexacharm acts as a talisman for the tree. Like a four-leaf clover, rabbit’s foot or horseshoe, this object differentiates the chosen timber from other trees. Hexacharms also reflect and refract light onto the leaves of the tree dispersing light onto the ground and the other surroundings.
